Hal offers an amazing service through his Trader User Group. Here is a guy who is obviously walking the walk instead of just talking. He knows what is needed to be a successful trader and you can learn it all from him. I would highly recommend his pre morning trade service. We all look at potential trades and how we can make money. He recently suggested two short trades on unleaded gasoline and the SPX which has made me enough money to pay for the service for 5 years!

I do a lot of market neutral trades, Condors, BF\'s and I had a great experience yesterday. With concerns of the debt debate I felt it a good idea to take profits early in an IWM iron butterfly, normally I would have simply exited the entire trade at one time, BUT after listening to Hal and seeing how he uses the Donchian channels fast MACD, and the 4 cross 12, I applied that to a five min chart. I closed the put credit spread at the high end of yesterday\'s run up, then following the signals closed the call credit spread at the lows of the day, I made a LOT more profit doing that than how I normally would have closed the trade. Bottom line what you learn in the trader group will be of benefit to you no matter what style of trading you do. RL

Dear Mr. Brent, It was great to meet you and the members of your Trader User Group this past Saturday. I left the meeting with a whole new outlook towards trading. I have been \"trading\" for a couple of years and have attended many seminars, other user groups and have also paid for \"coaching\" .........needless to say none compared to my first meeting with you. Risk management was one topic that was casually mentioned, nothing like your presentation. Wow, I feel like I\'m starting down a new path with trading, one that I will be successful at. Margaret

Hal sent us an e-mail detailing a special commission rate he had negotiated for members who use Think or Swim. I emailed TOS and got the special rate. I figured out that what I am now saving in commissions per year will be more than the cost of joining the Traders User Group. I\'m in the process of moving one of my other accounts to TOS to save even more. This special rate alone is reason to join but you will get much more out of this group in the education and advice

R.L. Says: Excellent site, already the information on risk management has more than paid for my yearly subscription. I see myself using this site daily as a way to continue my progress toward becoming a full time trader.

Excellent web site, I\'ve taken many courses on option trading and can say none of them offer as complete an explanation of risk management as does the Trader User Group. I feel this is a final piece in the puzzle to help me make the leap into full time trading.

I have been attending Hal\'s monthly Saturday sessions for over a year. I was really surprised at the time and knowledge that Hal was willing to share with the group and at the same time ask for nothing in return. Hal definitely has a passion for trading and teaching. Hal\'s guidance has been invaluable to me and has exposed me to many markets that I would have never entertained trading in. I have learned much from Hal, including trading Eminis, indicator setups and risk management. I now trade S&P Eminis on a daily basis and am beginning to see some success with my trading plan. I look forward to future sessions with Hal.

When I attend Hal\'s presentations I always learn something new. Rather than teaching us a narrowly defined trading method, Hal\'s approach is to teach us how to use data to increase our probability of success and develop our own trading style.

Hal constantly reminds us of the three pillars of good trading: Risk Management, charting analysis, and strategies. Of the three, risk management has always been my \"weak suite\", and at the insistence of Hal, have had to buckle down and begin to learn this discipline. There is a lot to it, but have become committed. It now pervades my thinking on any trade I consider, and have to credit Hal\'s work for this dedication to assessing and applying risk in all the trading I do. It has already been beneficial in learning how to hedge a portfolio with options.

In 2009 after watching my stock portfolio cut in half from the recent market crash I had an epiphany. Buy and hold was no longer a viable way to make money. I started reading and studying about Options trading. I started looking for some advance training and I quickly found two things: 1. There are hundreds of courses being offered for $2,000 and up. 2. There are many “experts” proclaiming how you can make 100k a year by subscribing to their newsletters that costs $500-$1,000 per year. (if it sounds too good to be true….) I wanted to find someone who could teach me about options on a personal basis without the BS and hype. I decided to search the meet up groups in my area and I found a local group headed Hal. I attended my first meeting and knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Each month we go over a different topic and through the Traders User Group website there are now online webinars to further my knowledge. I have gained a solid understanding about the way the markets work and other factors that affect the daily fluctuations of the markets. The knowledge of charting and reading the indicators has helped improve my trading. I am looking forward to learning more options strategies in future classes. I like to trade vertical spreads and a recent class we had on the Greeks has helped me understand how to use the delta in selecting the strike price to increase the probability of a successful trade. The small price to help maintain the website is a pittance compared to the wealth of information available for the members and the personal help that Hal gives us.
